Vice-chair of Belgium's Cyber Security Coalition

Over the past 20 years, Professor Georges Ataya has become a strong reference in the training and education domain, through his activities at Solvay Brussels School, where he is the founder and Academic Director of the Digital Transformation, Governance and Trust post-graduate programmes including the Executive Master in Cybersecurity Management. After a career with EY Belgium as General Manager of Technology and Security Risk Services, he founded what became today Ataya & Partners SRL. He is also active with Hightech Partners, Executive Search firm specialized with Digital Leaders and Service Provider Executives on a European level. Past International Vice President of ISACA from 2006 to 2010, Past Chair of the External Relations Committee and co-founder of the Value Governance framework and the VALIT publications, he was involved in revamping COBIT and initiating the activities since 2002 of the IT Governance Institute. Georges is the co-author of the initial body of knowledge and cofounder of both credentials: “Information Security Manager” CISM and “Certificate in Governance Enterprise IT” CGEIT. His initial involvement in Information security dates from his active participation at the IBAG Business Advisory Group toward the European Commission in 1993-1995. He participated in the foundation and acts as Vice Chair of the Belgian Cyber Security Coalition. Georges acted as President of the ISACA Belux/Belgium Chapter while serving in the Benelux Chapter since 1986. He is currently member of several other boards including AGORIA DIGITAL Industries and BECI.
