Olivier Markowitch is Professor at the Computer Sciences Department of the Faculty of Sciences (Université Libre de Bruxelles). He teaches algorithmic, cryptography and computer security.
He was head (president) of the Computer Sciences Department and is now Dean of the Faculty of Sciences. He was co-president of the ethics committee of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is the information security advisor for his university. He is one of the founder of the Master in Cybersecurity co-organized by four universities in Belgium and co-organizer of the Cybersecurity Research Center at ULB.
His research topics are the design and analysis of cryptographic protocols and communications protocols. He is the author of about a hundred scientific papers in the field of cryptography and computer security.
